These terms govern your use of Before You Go ("the app," "we," "us"). By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Before You Go watches the weather forecast for your location(s) and sends you reminders about what to wear, bring, and prepare for. A Free tier is available with built-in thresholds and a daily briefing; Premium unlocks continuous monitoring tied to your own routines, custom thresholds, multiple locations, and severe weather alerts.
The app works out of the box with an anonymous, device-bound identity — no sign-up required. You can optionally link a Google or Apple account to recover your data on a new device; a linked account is required to purchase Premium. You're responsible for whatever device or account you use to access the app.
Weather data and recommendations may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Do not rely on Before You Go as your sole source for emergency or severe-weather information. Follow alerts from local authorities and official emergency services. Forecasts are inherently uncertain, especially more than a day or two out — the app's recommendations are a convenience, not a guarantee of conditions.
The Health Journal and any related "possible trigger" indicators are optional, Premium features that compare your own self-reported symptom logs against weather conditions at your location. They are not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation, and Before You Go is not a medical device or healthcare provider. These features present statistical patterns drawn from your own data — nothing more — and should never replace professional medical judgment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about migraines, joint pain, or any other health condition.
Don't misuse the app — including attempting to disrupt its infrastructure, reverse-engineer it beyond what's legally permitted, access it through unauthorized means, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.
The app, its design, and its content (excluding the underlying weather data, which comes from third-party providers) belong to us. Your use of the app doesn't transfer any ownership to you.
You can stop using the app, and delete your account and all associated data, at any time from Settings (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app, including reliance on a forecast or recommendation that turned out to be wrong.
If these terms change in a material way, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
